*New* Fluff Battle! (2019)

*New* Fluff Battle is the sequel to Fluff Battle. It is a simple multiplayer game that supports up to 10 players. Players try to knock each other off a cloud platform that slowly shrinks. The last player standing wins. To help knock each other off, players can collect stars that fall from the sky. When you collect a star, you will become a Dark Fluff for a few seconds. Pressing the jump button while you are a Dark Fluff will fire a shockwave that sends other players flying. Players can also jump in mid-air if they have Fluff Wings. Fluff Wings will disappear after you jump in mid-air, and reappear when you land.

The game can be played in single player, but to do this, you must open the options menu and enable the "CPU Add" option. This will let you add computer-controlled players to the round and battle against them.

If you want to play single player, or play with two players on one keyboard, it's probably better to play the web version (http://love-game.net/newfluffbattle) which has pre-configured keyboard controls for two players and the "CPU Add" option enabled by default.

** Controls **

Press Escape to reset the game. Press Alt+F4 to quit the game. Press the O key to open the options menu, where you can configure things like the screen size, keyboard controls, and the amount of waiting time before a round starts.

You can press Page Up or Page Down to change the stage. Note though that CPU players are very non-smart when playing on anything other than the default stage.

Gamepad controls:
By default, *New* Fluff Battle is set up to use gamepads for everything. If you have a gamepad plugged in, *New* Fluff Battle will try to detect it and set up the controls automatically. If it works, you will be able to control the game as follows:

- Press any button to join the round.
- Once you have joined the round, press left/right on any analogue stick or directional pad to move around, and press any button to jump.
- Press up/down on any analogue stick or directional pad to add or remove CPU players from the round. *Only if you have set the CPU Add option in the options menu to "Gamepad" or "Both"

Once there are at least two players in the round, a countdown timer will start, and once the countdown is done the round will begin.

Keyboard controls:
*New* Fluff Battle also supports keyboard controls, but you have to configure them first. Press O to open the options menu and then select "Button Config". You can configure up to 9 sets of keyboard controls through this menu.

After keyboard controls have been set, you can press one of the jump keys you configured to join the round, and then use the left/right keys you configured to move.

You can also use the keyboard as an alternative way to add CPU players. Press a key from 0 to 9 to add that many CPU players to the round. Only 10 players total (counting human players and CPU players) can join a round.

Manual gamepad configuration:
If the automatic gamepad setup is not working correctly, you can try to configure your gamepad manually. The process is the same as for configuring keyboard controls: navigate to the "Button Config" menu and follow the onscreen instructions.

There are some limitations to manually configured gamepad controls:
- You cannot press any gamepad button to join the round. You must use the jump button that you chose in Button Config.
- You cannot use any analogue stick or directional pad to move. You must use the same stick or pad you used in Button Config.
- You cannot press up/down to add CPU players.

** Events **

*New* Fluff Battle is a fun and easy to learn multiplayer game that supports a large number of players, making it ideal for events like galleries, showcases and parties. You are free to run *New* Fluff Battle at such an event without asking me for explicit permission, although I enjoy hearing about these events and seeing pictures/videos if you get any. Also, if you want certain modifications made to the game to make your event run more smoothly, I might be able to accomodate you free of charge if the modification is small and easy to make. You can contact me on Twitter (@sylviefluff).

There is a "secret code" that may be useful as an eyecatch/attract mode for the game. Press Ctrl+Shift+P to spawn 30 CPU players, who will automatically battle it out!
